Pamela Susan Strong, 58, passed away on September 28, 2013 at her home in Gilbert, AZ. Susan was born April 29, 1955 in Albany, GA to Major Dick Cottle USAF (ret.) and Jo Anne Cottle. Susan married Michael Strong in 1976 in the Mesa, AZ Temple. During their marriage, they had 4 beautiful children who her life revolved around. Susan attended Mesa Community College's nursing program where she received a degree as a certified registered nurse in September of 1975. She spent most of her 26 years of service as an ER and ICU nurse at Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Susan was very active in the LDS church, and was also involved with the Boy Scouts of America Organization for many years. In her free time Susan enjoyed supporting and listening to her children's musical talents, attended all of their concerts and recitals. She also loved her grandchildren with all of her heart, spending much of her time with them--organizing sleepovers, crafts, and activities. Susan is lovingly remembered by her siblings Rick and Larry Cottle, and Donna Lemorrocco; her daughters Jennifer Ray and Lisa Campbell; and her sons David and Brian Strong. She will also be lovingly remembered by the joys of her life, grandchildren- Kyle, Dylan, Julia, Jaymee, and Isabella Ray; Kandyce and Evan Strong; and Shaylee Campbell. A memorial to celebrate Susan's life will be held at the LDS Stake center on Monday, October 7, 10:30 a.m., at 21320 S. Greenfield Rd. Gilbert, AZ 85295. The family requests any memorial donations be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
